Recently found some light housing upgrades for our 'eyeball' can lighting. Part of the install the previous owners did with the 'eyeballs' necessitated them taking out the original socket bracket. Couldn't find these anywhere locally (fairly large Wisconsin metro area) and even the electrical supply house was less than helpful and I was not interested in buying a brand new can light just for this plate and tossing the rest of it!!!! Total Recessed Lighting to the rescue!! Not only a great price, but the version I bought had little cutouts on the sides to accomodate a small wiring block on the inside of the can. Could not find this part in any local home improvement stores in order to secure recessed lighting bulb so that I could install a twist on pendant light in to that bulb in our kitchen. Remodeling house and needed this part to change out the trim kits for our lights. Could not find the part locally without buying a new halo can. Rarely do I write a review but Total Recessed lighting deserves my time!
This part is VERY difficult to find but the socket bracket is critical to repair recessed cans - especially older Halo H7-ICN / H7-ICT / H27 because the design allow easy insertion of the coil springs that retain the baffle since Halo does not make a short spring any more. (Posted on 7/18/2017)
