I just replaced 5 under-counter Kichler Halogen light transformers with these HD75-120's. Kichler told me that replacement transformers were no longer available and recommended new $85 LED fixtures, but I thought that was like buying a new car because the carburetor had failed. My 10 year old Kichler under-counter halogens were starting to fail due to burned out transformers. Although Kichler told me that new transformers were no longer made, these worked great. New fixtures cost $85 each vs a $10 repair - an easy decision. Also the new transformers were shipped right away. Very pleased. My 10 year old under counter Kichler halogens were all starting to fail and I determined that the transformers were the problem. Kichler told me that these transformers were no longer available and I'd need to replace the fixtures (with new ones at $60 each). After a search on the web, I found this company and took a chance and bought 12 transformers. So far, I've replaced the 5 transformers that had failed (it's been about a week), and everything works fine (the other 7 transformers are in expectation that they all might fail over time). Did I do the right thing? Should I have bought all new LED fixtures? I don't know, but I thought it was wasteful to throw out perfectly good lights because of a $10 part... I cross matched this item easily from the burnt-out one my electrician removed from a light fixture. He was skeptical that I could find an economical replacement.
