The all black baffle is a simple trim held in with simple coil springs that can mount to the side of the can or the socket plate above. Very light weight and works in almost any 6" can. It is important that your recessed can has a socket plate to hold the bulb. The trim does not have a place to hold the bulb itself. Having the socket on a socket plate that can be adjusted up and down will allow you to use a variety of bulbs. Many recessed cans have this plate. Or it can be added. The trim was designed to use a R, BR, or PAR bulb. LED, Halogen, Incandescent and even fluorescent. However now almost everything is LED we offer some bulbs below as they are the most common.
